The Self-Starters, The Center for Family Support’s self-advocacy group, marched in the Bronx Pride Parade on Sunday May 17th.
The advocacy group members had a great time representing themselves and CFS. There was music and other live events. The Self-Starters also had the opportunity to network with other organizations and groups, and had the chance to meet U.S. Congressman Charles Rangel.
The Self-Starters were represented by individuals who reside at the Arlington, Hale, Crotona and Underhill Residential Homes. And, many thanks to those managers who encouraged the attendance of our residents.
