CFS Advocates are Contributing to their Communities
On Sunday, May 1st, several of the CFS New Jersey Self-Advocates braved the rainy weather to participate in the Breast Cancer Walk, held at the Boat House in West Farms, NJ. 2016 is the third year in a row that the Self-Advocates have contributed their time and monies to the advancement of Breast Cancer research.
On 5.17.15, CFS’ Self Starters self- advocacy group marched in celebration at the Bronx Pride Day Parade. The Self Starters & their supporters, carried banners & wore their Self- Starters T-shirts, and marched amongst other Bronx Natives & groups. The group was able to meet several celebrated Bronx natives, such as Malik Yoba (Actor), & Charles Rangel (U.S. Representative). Our parade participation was coordinated by our Coordinator of Innovative Planning, Nadine Daley; Innovative Planning Specialist Le’Grayce Brown & Assistant Director of Residential Services Tranet Hymon were also in attendance, providing on- site support.
