Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Assurance, the Senior Incident Management Coordinator & Specialist shall participate in program evaluation activities as well as oversee NY and NJ incident management and the application of all relevant standards, policies and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing oversight, direction and support to the NJ QA Incident Management Coordinator.
  • Ensure the thorough investigation of all NY & NJ incidents and allegations and assist in the determination of findings and recommendations.
  • Will be required to conduct investigations in NY and NJ.
  • Will oversee incident management functions in NJ, when the NJ Incident Management Coordinator is unavailable.
  • Chair the NY Incident Reporting Committee and serve as a back-up to the chairperson of the NJ Incident Reporting Committee. In addition, participate in agency committees and quality improvement activities.
  • Manage the NY and the NJ incident reporting databases and DOMO maintenance, as it relates to incidents and investigations.
    Required to provide QA On-Call assistance in NY and NJ.
  • Provide ongoing training of Supervisors, Managers, Assistant Managers and Direct Support Professionals around NY and/or NJ incident reporting/investigation regulations.
  • Participate in NY internal auditing and technical assistance.
  • Respond to requests from government agencies.
  • Travel within New York metropolitan area and New Jersey is required.

Preferred Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of OPWDD, Justice Center and DDD incident management policies and regulations.
  • JC/OPWDD certified investigator.
  • Extensive knowledge of New York regulations, codes and policies related to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
