National Disability Independence Day is celebrated every year on July 26th to commemorate the passage of The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, and ensures that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
