Awarding Perseverance – Change of Plans
As we get closer to the date of our awards dinner (Tue., Oct. 5) we are hearing hesitation from many on meeting in-person due to the ever-changing nature of the pandemic, and the virulent Delta variant. Therefore, for the safety of all, we are cancelling the in-person event on October 5.
However, we are planning an event for next year and hope that we can host that in person. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us, including our sponsors.
All the funds we have raised to date will, of course, go toward meeting the heightened needs of the individuals with disabilities we serve and their families. They are adapting, just like the rest of us, to a new reality in NYC, a changing environment, and challenges in their course to leading healthy, meaningful lives. The CFS team is responsive and persistent in meeting their needs.
Your support of our efforts is critically important. If you have sponsored the event, we encourage you to consider changing your contribution to the event into a donation. If you would rather not, we can work with you on other options (transferring the sponsorship/ticket purchase to the 2022 event or a refund). Please reach out to Carmen Alvarez with your preference: CAlvarez@cfsny.org.
On Tuesday, October 5th, The Center for Family Support Foundation will be holding “Awarding Perseverance,” our awards dinner, at the New York Athletic Club. Please join us for a very special evening at one of New York City’s most celebrated venues.
