The Center for Family Support is grateful to 100 Hispanic Women for inviting their staff to join them on March 13th at the Glen Island Harbour Club for the 20th Annual Mind, Body, and Spirit Conference. 20 CFS staff attended the conference, which delved into various aspects of the mind, body, and spirit, and provided individuals with valuable insights, inspiration, and tools to enhance their personal and professional growth.
Participants heard from speakers and panelists discussing a wide range of topics including mental health, physical wellness, spirituality, and personal development. CFS CEO Alicia McGrath – who is the Founder and Board President of 100 Hispanic Women Long Island – moderated a panel called Imposter Syndrome: How to quiet the Voice of Self Doubt.
“For women’s history month the CFS leadership team was able to participate in the Mind, Body, and Spirit Conference, a space where our journeys intersected, passions ignited, and uniqueness bloomed. We leaned into the art of compassion—for ourselves and others. Deepening our strength, we were able to lift each other, creating a vibrant community. The day left us hopeful, resolute—to be our best selves, to carry forward our transformative work,” said Alicia. “May your journey be adorned with courage, compassion, and the joy of celebrating your unique self! “
Deyanelin, CFS Support Planning Specialist, was one of the CFS staff who attended. “It has been incredibly amazing and motivating to be among strong, powerful women who can relate to one another and share stories of how they overcame similar circumstances. It had a sisterhood-like feel,” she said.
Attendees also heard from Brenda K. Staff, a singer-songwriter; Nancy A. Ruffin, award winning writer and leadership coach; and learned to dance with Sheila Genao, Zumba presenter.
