Meaningful Work as an Advocate
Many of our staff begin their careers at The Center for Family Support (CFS) as Direct Support Professionals or DSPs. DSPs assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to improve their quality of life, reach their goals, and fulfill their very real ambitions and dreams.
DSPs serve as strong advocates for the individuals we serve at CFS, encouraging them to communicate their wants and needs and supporting their integration into their communities and neighborhoods.
DSPs also provide companionship and support needed for individuals with IDD to live healthy, safe, joyful, and meaningful lives. Many CFS staff stay with the organization for decades, enjoying growth opportunities, great benefits, and unwavering support from their supervisors and organizational leadership.
